STAYCATION @ SLS BAHA MAR

Hey lovely folks, I hope all is well with you!

If you have been hangin’ with me on Instagram, you would have seen photos and videos of my stay at Baha Mar during Valentine’s week.  If you haven’t been following, let me fill you in. Rory and I spent three incredible days at the brand new SLS luxury hotel located at Baha Mar.

The hotel offered to pick us up from home but we opted to drive just in case we needed to get off property.  Upon arrival,  we received the warmest welcome from the front desk staff and the check-in process was smooth.

ROOM

The very moment I walked in, I noticed the room had a romantic touch. Rose petals were sprinkled from the door straight to the bed, there were red dancing balloons, a chilled bottle of champagne, my favourite chocolate from Graycliff and the most beautiful bouquet of red roses I have ever seen.  I must admit that I am not the mushy kind of girl but that was quite romantic and required a mushy moment. Thanks Rory for the sweet surprise!

The room is modern and sleek, I adore the grey and white wall mural.  There is a 24 hr room service,  a great minibar selection and light snacks which btw are not complimentary. The bathroom could have been more spacious though.  Our room had the premier ocean view which overlooked the pools, lush palm trees and a fraction of the beautiful blue sea. The scenery is nothing short of a tropical paradise.

POOL

There are numerous pools on property but we fell in love with Privilege, which is an upscale party pool  with day beds, private cabanas and personal concierge.  Surprisingly the water was warm and inviting, I thought it was going to be muy frio! I know a lil Spanish…lol. The  live DJ and pink flamingo floats gave it a summery vibe.

FOOD

Aside from the pools and stunning view, the best part of my stay was the food. We had breakfast Buffet at Regatta which had a wide selection and the food was scrumptious.  I absolutely loved the smoothies on stick, the Strawberry Margarita is my fave.

We also dined at Cleo which specialises in Mediterranean Cuisine. It is the most popular restaurant on property, I guess that’s why It was difficult to get a reservation. I tried Lamb Shawarma and Moussakah which were simply delicious…too bad we spoiled our appetite before dinner but the plates were shareable so we didn’t order a lot. I will definitely be back with a bigger appetite.  It’s a great restaurant to dine with friends and family. They also serve breakfast which is worth trying.

Overall, SLS was a beautiful, relaxing and tasty experience. Please enjoy the gallery below.
